Youth hostels always seem to be the cheapest option for international travel I've found. Not always the best quality accommodation but they're usually comfortable enough and well looked after.
Might be worth a look if you're really struggling with the budget.

i don't really care that much where i'm staying, althought it'd be nice to be with people, who actually know the city and can give some tips

i'd suggest making a fort out of discarded couch cushions and sheets.
