@op: I cannot speak for those who are not into sociology, but I am, and enjoy much of your writings because I don't sit in journal articles all the time.

Thank you Ana. This made me actually look backward too and you gave me a new perspective to self portraits of all the world's great artists and painters. Could there have been a social dimension? Interesting!
